Our Story

In South-West Victoria, on a remote farm resides our sanctuary where Sadhaks and Sadhikas (Vedic practitioners) taking inspiration from Ashwini Guru Ji are reviving the Vedic era. They say Gurus carry their environment; one step into the Sanctuary and you realize how true this is.

From a Yagya Kund constructed as per shastras (ancient Vedic texts) to rescued Desi Gau (cow) and Nandi (referred to as the Brahman cows and bulls, in this part of the world), the vibrations and energy of this place are unparalleled.

Mother Ganga, that first finds mention in the ancient text Rig Veda, flows at the Ashram Sanctuary. She may start from the glaciers in the Himalayas but today she has found her way down under. Five thousand miles away from India in the lush Melville Forest in the heart of Australia, Ganga Ji resides. Did you know that as per Vedic Shastras, waters of Ganges or Gangajal when added to any water turn that water into Gangajal? Also, unlike normal water that stagnates and turns putrid when kept still/contained for a very long period of time, Gangajal remains as is, no matter how long it is kept.

So, how did Ganga reach here? We were fortunate that Guru Ji was traveling through. At Brahm Muhurat, with Vedic chants, Gangajal was poured into the Ashram lake turning it into Mata Ganga and a crystal Shivling was also consecrated on the auspicious Brahm Muhurat of Shivratri.

The Ashram makes for a go-to-destination for seekers of Vedic Sciences and Yoga, holistic health practices, Desi Gau Puja, and for animal lovers. We provide a forever home to over 70+ rescued cows, sheep, lambs, and cats. These animals were rescued from meeting their brutal end, caused by disease, injuries, abandonment, and inevitable slaughter after being rendered unproductive. From our first rescue, a Staffy pup that was abandoned on the country roadside, to our large family of 70+ rescued farm animals, the sanctuary makes for the perfect place to discharge one’s Karmas. Our volunteers work day and night caring for these animals, as an act of service, generating positive Karma. If you get a chance to visit us, don’t forget to indulge in some cow-cuddling therapy. It’s a time-tested panacea for most of your problems, be it physical or mental.

Our volunteers trained in ancient yogic practices are spread across Victoria, offering free Yoga workshops for local communities. Our aim is to make yoga accessible to all, for it is a pure science, and attaching commerce to it makes the science redundant.

Now, whether you come to the Ashram for a healing hug or to immerse yourself in a potent Vedic experience of a Yagya, Gau Puja, Ganga Snan, Yoga and Mantras, one thing is certain, it will be a life-changing experience taking you back to your Vedic roots.
